CDT Holiday Party
Our annual CDT Showing and Holiday Party is Monday, Dec. 9 from 4:15 – 6:30 PM at Tanner Dance. Each class will share what they have been working on for concert. After the showing we will have our ornament exchange and food. This event is for dancers only.
Each dancer should bring a small ornament to exchange with a classmate. These can be homemade or store bought, but please spend no more than $5.
Dancers should arrive in their CDT rehearsal blacks with hair pulled back, and bring a water bottle labeled with their name.

Tanner Dance apparel and accessories will be available for purchase in the lobby Monday, Dec. 2 – Monday, Dec. 9. Grab some great holiday gifts at discounted prices!
Lead Audition – Young Emma
An audition for the role of Young Emma will be held Monday, Dec. 9 from 6:45 – 7:30 PM (following the CDT holiday party). This audition is open to dancers who are in 3rd and 4th grade AND are between 48 and 53 inches tall. Dancers must wear rehearsal blacks with hair pulled back. Please meet outside Studio 6.

High School Master Class
CDT dancers in 9th-12th grade are invited to attend a free master class with guest artist Micah Moch on Monday, December 9 from 6:30 – 7:45 PM, following the CDT holiday party. No registration required. Class will be in Studio 5.
Selected by the renowned Dance Magazine as 25 dancers to watch worldwide, Micah Moch is a Los Angeles based dancer, choreographer, creative movement director, and
performance capture artist. With 17 years of dance training and professional experience, he has performed works by legendary choreographers Rennie Harris, Donald McKayle, Lewis Johnson, and James Truitte. Some of Micah’s credits include his performance capture artistry and rendering work for Director James Cameron’s feature film Avatar, dancing in Comedy Central’s television series Key & Peele, and choreographing Grouplove’s music video Way to Go, Tuxedo’s Do It, and Director Amy Ephron’s dance short Chloe @3am.
CDT Winter Break is Dec. 10 – Jan. 5.
Classes resume on Monday, January 6.
In Accord is an annual performance that features dancers from a variety of Tanner Dance programs accompanied by live musicians. The CDT 4th, 6th, and Dance Ensemble classes will be performing in this event.
In Accord Silent Auction
As part of the In Accord performances, we hold an annual silent auction with all proceeds going directly to the Tanner Dance Scholarship Fund, which provides needs-based scholarships to students in all programs.
Each EVEN CDT grade will be creating a class basket for this auction and you should be hearing from your class coordinators soon-if you haven’t already. Please note that any donation, either towards your class basket, or another item for the auction, can count toward your 20 hour volunteer requirement for CDT. *It is not a requirement to donate.
Although just the even year grades will be participating in the creation of a class basket, we are taking other donations as well. You can receive 1 volunteer hour for each $10 value (i.e. if you donate a $30 item you can count 3 volunteer hours).

CDT Summer Tours 2020
This summer, CDT has been invited to participate in two touring opportunities: the Dance and the Child National Conference at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and the Center for LDS Arts Festival in New York City. We will be holding auditions for both tours. Look for dates and detailed information in next week’s eNEWS.
