Every person deserves the opportunity to dance! Dancers with Disabilities classes are for children and young adults who wish to experience the joy of moving and self-expression. The class includes appropriate technique exercises for the whole body, and dancers explore shape, space, rhythm, and movement quality. Teachers use literature and other springboards that they creatively weave into the class. All classes have live accompaniment by experienced and engaging musicians. The DwD classes have the opportunity to perform at Kingsbury Hall in a year-end performance. For more information, please contact Joni Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Learning and Engaging through Arts Discipline and Development
We are excited to announce LEADD 2 starting fall 2019.
The focus for LEADD 2 will be literature, dance/drama, and creative writing.
- Literature will include thinking and engaging with on-level reading for adults with disabilities. They will read graphic novels, fairy tales, and fiction. Students will be exploring character, theme, and settings.
- Dance/drama will celebrate the creative spirit through movement that engages the whole body.
- Creative writing will contain thematic units working with students' own ideas through pictures, tracing, and sentence structure.
Teachers will be sure to support students through differentiated instruction depending on the needs of students. LEADD 2 will not have an end of year showcase. Parents will be invited to attend a year end class observation.
This class will meet Tuesdays, 12:30-3:30pm.
